Beyondbeing Yoga is proud to represent an all-levels, ever-expanding family of practitioners as they learn to step into the flow of grace—and to tap into their full physical, spiritual, and healing potential.

Hayley Schmidt, owner and creator of Beyondbeing Power Yoga, was first introduced to yoga at the age of sixteen, as a part of her training as a professional dancer. Initially drawn to the physical aspects of yoga, Hayley used the asana practice to help condition the body for the rigor of her profession. It wasn’t until some years later, when faced with severe hardship, that Hayley began to discover the authentic spirit of yoga. Moved by its healing powers, Hayley became determined to share the gifts of yoga with others - and so Beyondbeing Power Yoga was born.

Today, Beyondbeing Power Yoga serves the Perth yoga community with a wealth of knowledge - featuring a variety of classes, taught by a variety of experienced instructors from a rich range of yogic backgrounds. Under the mindful guidance of Hayley Schmidt, Beyondbeing Power Yoga is proud to represent an all-levels, ever-expanding family of practitioners as they learn to step into the flow of grace—and to tap into their full physical, spiritual, and healing potential.

  • Dear Hayley, I am Ellas friend from Austria who joined your lessons last week. Now I came back to Europe and wanted to say namaste and thank you. The lessons I have shared with you were so great and good. I enjoyed so much, definitely you are a fantastic guru, you made me happy and you gave a very positive spin to my stay in Perth. I am still thinking of you, your deepness and your charisma. I wish you the best and hope to see you one day again. Sat nam and peace to the universe!

  • I look forward to Hayley's class each week. Always a challenge of some sort, which means your mind can't think about anything else. You just need to listen to her instruction, the voice of 'encouragement' blended with some 'wit'......

  • I also want to thank you for the yoga classes I have attended so far. For years I have dabbled in yoga but I'm finally starting to properly engage in the breathing and the mind aspect of it, and not see it as an exercise class or something I should do because I know it is good for me. I look forward to classes and over the course of a class I can feel a transformation happening in my mind. I think you're a fantastic teacher and probably one of the first people I have been taught by where I can feel you really believe in and are so engaged in everything you say. I am very grateful, thank you.

  • As a professional dancer I have always used yoga as a tool to maintain flexibility and strength. Beyond Being classes provide an abundance of this but Hayley has also succeeded in helping me realise the importance and benefits of stilling the mind. I used to be so hard on myself when one day my tolerance for a posture was lower than the day before but since training with Beyond Being I’ve learnt to acknowledge when my pain threshold is lower and to let it be that way without judgment. This has been a discovery I have enjoyed immensely.

  • The sequencing and flow of your class is amazing, very creative and challenging. After class I could feel the serotonin restoring my whole body, giving me a sense of calm and wellbeing. I have practiced yoga all over the world but nothing quite like your class, so thank you!
